| System No. 30 - Week 1 |
|
"System no. 30" by Julian Wild, involved welding scrap pieces of peat wagons and cutting machinery together that were once part of peat production at Lough Boora Parklands, to depict a disk that appears to bounce over the surface of the canal which looks like a serpentine form swimming across the surface of the canal. In Week one of this three week series, the sculptor introduces us to the concept, the model prototype, the process and materials which will be used to make the sculpture come to life, as it moves from the workshop to the outdoors. |
