Passage - Week 1

Alan Counihan’s piece entitled “Passage” involved cutting a trench into a raised bank of turf, creating a passageway lined with railway sleepers, leading to free standing vertical rails and sleepers which reach towards the sky.

Week one of the three week series captures the creative concepts and practical process involved in the land art of Lough Boora Parklands, with the artist providing you with extreme insight into his work.

Passage - Week 2

In Week two of this three week series, the artist provides you with an up close view of the difficulties involved in installing such a large piece and talks you through the modifications needed to ensure the sculpture at Lough Boora Parklands reaches its full potential.

Passage - Week 3

The final week of the three week series, you can witness the finishing touches to the sculpture as installation is completed at Lough Boora Parklands. View the finished article and hear the artists, hopes and aspirations for the piece and its visitors in the future.
