Summertime Events in Lough Boora Parklands

wild_child_poster_200Join in the fun during National Heritage Week 2010 (21st to 29th of August).  To celebrate 2010 as International Year of Biodiversity, this year the Heritage Council will kick off National Heritage Week with Wild Child Day on 21st August.  Wild Child Day is all about getting outdoors and connecting with nature no matter what the weather or where you are.

Join in our fun event – Lough Boora Parklands Wild Child Activity Day – in the unique setting of the parklands on Saturday 21st August.  There will be something for everyone.  Outdoor activities including fishing, cycling (bike hire is now available on site), guided walks plus talks on wildlife and flora for adults and children to enjoy and on site refreshments for sale on the day.

Don’t forget that there are parking, picnic and toilets facilities in the parklands.
